We invite you to join us on this journey and are privileged to welcome guest speaker Paul Ryan, director of the Australian Resilience Centre, an organisation that works directly with people, communities, agencies and researchers to build resilience capacity for positive futures. His connection to this project will aim to create positive networks in preparation for the launch of this community project.

Shaping Murrindindi's Future Project

An interactive 1.5 hour 3 Horizon workshop featuring Paul Ryan from the Resilience Centre- exploring pathways towards positive futures.

Bonfire Station Farmstay & Microbrewery

The areas of Marysville, Buxton, Alexandra, and Taggerty have been identified as one of 11 regions across Victoria currently going through a process of transition with the Victorian Forestry Plan. The transition will have a big impact not only on these towns, but the people who live and work in this region. The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, with support from Murrindindi Shire Council and RMIT will deliver the project ‘Shaping Murrindindi’s Future’ to find opportunities for these communities going through transition. The project will empower the community to identify and develop regional strengths, assets and opportunities for innovation and will see engagement and collaboration with community, business, local industries, the education sector and government.Two workshops will be held where community can learn more about the project and hear from Paul Ryan, Director of the Resilience Centre, as he explains the three horizons approach to exploring pathways towards positive futures. Come along to either of the workshops held on Friday May 19 @ Marysville Golf Club, or Saturday May 20 @ Bonfire Station in Taggerty. Registration is required for catering purposes. Dinner and drinks will be provided at both events.
