A free 1.5-hour workplace culture training session in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment for local workplace managers and  team leaders.

The session will introduce participants with tools to recognise, prevent and respond to sexual harassment in the workplace. The content shines a light on the current climate and how the working rights of women and other at-risk people are breached when harassment and bystander apathy occurs. Participants will explore practical strategies to prevent sexual harassment and how to create a positive workplace culture, free from inappropriate behaviours. Participants can expect to achieve the following outcomes: ∙ Ability to define Sexual Harassment ∙ Knowledge on drivers of harassment and risk factors ∙ Understanding of workplace positive obligations to prevent harassment∙ An understanding of the responsibilities of managers, executive, and other staff when handling disclosures∙ What is bystander awareness and how can you avoid bystander apathy ∙ Overview of person centred approaches and vicarious trauma ∙ Completion of scenario and group activities∙ Confidence in applying a framework for best practice∙ Knowledge on where to find more information and services.
