Linocut is a printmaking technique, using a sheet of linoleum or other material, and cutting a relief design into the surface, with a sharp knife or small, shaped chiselling tools. The sheet is is then inked with a roller, called a brayer, and impressed onto paper, card or fabric, either by hand or with a printing press.

We use Ezy Carve Printing Blocks. They are . . . well . . . really easy to carve!

Your facilitator will talk you through everything you need to know to design, cut and print your unique design onto a calico tote bag.

We are going for comfort here! Anything white, made of silk, of sentimental value, or extremely expensive is not the best option at our studio.

Ink splatter happens. Once ink is on your clothes, it really likes to stay there!

It's nice to show up 30 minutes early

Most makers show up early, to enjoy a bit of down time with friends and new acquaintances before the workshop officially begins.

We will start right on time!
