“<a href="https://www.nafa.net.au/nafa-chat/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NAFA Chat</a>” is a friendly forum held at Forrester&#x27;s in Surry Hills. Come join us on the second Monday of the month from February to November (excluding public holidays).Each meeting begins with industry announcements where various castings, crew calls, and industry events are pitched. The fireside chat with the <a href="https://www.nafa.net.au/guest-speakers/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Guest Speaker</a> follows, where the invited speaker inspires the group by sharing their insights into trends in the industry.<h3>Dan Freene ACS</h3>Dan Freene ACS is an award-winning cinematographer working across TV series, feature films, documentaries and commercials.Most recently, Dan completed principal photography on the BBC series “Queen of Oz”, featuring British comedian/actor Catherine Tate. The show was directed by Christiaan Van Vuuren (A Sunburnt Christmas, “Soul Mates”, “Over and Out”) and produced by Michele Bennett (“Mr Inbetween”, Judy and Punch, Chopper).Last year Dan shot the Netflix comedy series “Wellmania” starring Celeste Barber which will premiere worldwide on 29 March.Other credits include the award-winning entry “Over and Out” at CANNESERIES 2019, the second season of the popular ABC comedy series “Squinters” and the first season of the national broadcaster’s “Soul Mates” — the follow-up to the YouTube hit series “Bondi Hipsters”.In 2015 Dan shot OtherLife (directed by Ben C. Lucas) which won Gold from the Australian Cinematographers Society and is now on Netflix. He also shot the critically acclaimed feature film Wasted on the Young which was distributed by Paramount Pictures.
