<p>Join us for a series of hands-on folio enhancing activities led by Monash Fine Art academics at <a href="https://www.monash.edu/mada" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Monash Art, Design and Architecture </a>at our Caulfield Campus. You&#x27;ll not only learn how to build your fine art folio to apply for admission at Monash University but also have the opportunity to undertake a life drawing workshop and produce a series of drawings that you will then document for inclusion in your folio. Remember to bring a selection of your own work along with your art journal to get some hands-on assistance with your folio. You will also have the opportunity to hear and ask about the new changes to the entry requirements for the Bachelor of Fine Art at Monash.</p><p>Register now to reserve your place as spaces are limited.</p><h2>What to bring: </h2><ul><li>Folio of current works for documentation (flat packed / not rolled). </li><li>Sketch books / Visual Diaries, </li><li>Pen for notes, </li><li>Digital Camera (optional)</li></ul><p>We will be providing some light lunch (optional) or you are welcome to explore the food options around our Caulfield campus. Register now to reserve your place as spaces are limited.  </p><h3><strong>Workshop Program: </strong></h3><h3><strong>Design Project: form, function, fun</strong></h3><p><strong>28 June</strong>, 10am –12.30pm or 1pm – 3.30pm (repeat session)</p><p>Utilising the MADA dFAB Lab&#x27;s laser cutting technology, this workshop will focus on the possibilities of transitioning flat surfaces into engaging and interactive 3-dimensional experiences. The project will transform ordinary cardboard through cuts, folds and joining mechanisms that permits the participants to design their own outcomes that function as spaces, products, or communication devices. Regardless of what units you&#x27;ve taken in high school, a design education at Monash is an opportunity to bring together creative skills and approaches intent on making a positive difference in the world. </p><h3><strong>Architecture Making Workshop 1 </strong></h3><p><strong>28 June</strong>,  10am –12.30pm or 1pm – 3.30pm (repeat session)</p><p>Come to Monash Architecture to discover how we teach our students to put architectural ideas to work. In this workshop, we will introduce you to what it is like to be an architecture student through a series of making activities in our studio spaces.</p><p>We run multiple workshops each year and they&#x27;re designed to build on one another through different materials and prompts, giving you a unique experience whether you&#x27;ve already attended a workshop in the past or if this is the first time you&#x27;re joining us. Join us to:</p><ul><li>Experience the architecture studio environment</li><li>Explore materials, scale, site and other architectural considerations</li><li>Meet our exceptional architectural staff</li></ul><p>We will also include a short tour of our architecture spaces during the workshop.</p><p><em><strong>N.B.</strong></em><em> </em></p><ul><li><em>Please only register for the times and workshops you will be attending.</em></li><li><em>Both Design and Architecture workshops will run repeat sessions on the day so please only register once for each discipline workshop. </em></li><li><em>For students attending both sessions, we will be providing some light lunch  (optional) or you are welcome to try some of the food providers around the university. Please also bring your own water bottle on the day.</em></li></ul><p>You must not come to campus if you&#x27;re unwell or a household contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.</p>
