PIPS 3 Roadshow and Mastrus ridens Release

NSW Department of Primary Industries

Nashdale Hall

The apple and pear industry’s flagship R&D program, PIPS3, has a series of events planned across Australia’s growing regions to showcase the outcomes of recent research, and most importantly chat about local challenges and solutions whilst in the orchard.
Researchers from the program will travel to regions to chat with growers and local service providers on: developments in orchard systems, addressing climate challenges, managing crop load & biennial bearing, options for orchard floor management, improving soil health, optimising nutrient use & decision tools, IPDM options for cultural & biological management and the potential of advanced technologies. Orange will also participate in the highly anticipated Mastrus ridens release to biologically control Codling Moth!
For NSW, the field day will be in Orange, at Nashdale Hall on the 26th of April 2023 at 1pm. Lunch will be provided.
