Can I bring my children to the workshop?

Accepted Answer

Of course! Everyone is welcome! Note that there will be a couple of talks of ~45 min, but we'll try to make them as kid-friendly as possible if we have young ones in the audience.

Question 2

How long will the beach walk be?

Accepted Answer

It will be a short stroll on the beach, suitable for all level of fitness! We'll look for Hooded Plovers as a group, with zero stress and rush :)

Question 3

I can only come to the indoor session or beach walk, is that okay?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Register in Eventbrite as normal and let Sonia (sonia.sanchez@birdlife.org.au) know which part you'll be attending. Note however that the start time of the beach walk is approximate and I won't be able to repeat all the information provided in the talks!

Question 4

Does the venue have wheelchair access?

Accepted Answer

Yes, wheelchair access to the Mechanics Institute Hall is via the left side hall exit and must be opened upon request from the inside of hall. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee the beach we'll go to will have wheelchair access.

Question 5

What food options will be provided?

Accepted Answer

There will be a selection of cold rolls and sandwiches and we'll try our best to cater all dietary requirements and food allergies. We'll also provide tea and coffee.

Question 6

Do I need any birding experience or my own binoculars?

Accepted Answer

No! No experience or binoculars are needed, but you're welcome to bring your own if you have a pair.
