C﻿ome and spend a day redefining mental health from a unique perspective. Sarah has lived experience of mental illness and caring for others, has trained as a mental health peer worker and artist, and holds a grad cert in public health. Mental health training is all too often divorced from the real world. Services are imperfect, frameworks have limitations, and sometimes our madness is what saves us. Discover a range of frameworks to help make sense of suffering and diversity. Embrace the contradictions and find hope rather than confusion in the complexity. Go beyond mental health as an individual dilemma and learn about the bigger picture impacts - our mental health in context as families, communities and countries. What we do for each other makes a difference, and how we frame these experiences empowers or limits us. Learn about the power of connection, and how understanding our fundamental needs helps to make sense of the apparently irrational. Support others to find their own meaning and discover the most useful resources for them as they navigate a mad world.
