Wadjar Regional Indigenous Gallery is a hub of First Nations Culture and Art from the Mid North Coast of NSW.Situated in the pristine coastal bushlands of the Northern Lowlands of Gumbaynggirr Nation, Yarrawarra represents a range of talented  Indigenous Artists who share their skills and knowledge with the public through our  Cultural Events, School Holiday Activities, Art and Craft Worksops and our Bush Medicine and Historical Site Tours.At Yarrawarra we love nothing more than bringing people together to celebrate and share the Art, Culture, History and Values of Gumbaynggirr People."Yarrawarra means Happy Meeting Place in Gumbaynggirr Language, and you can really feel it when you come out here under the big gum trees. Together we are powerful, we lift each other up, we stand with one another and lend strengthSince the rise industrial society, women have been given a very particular role to play And I'm happy to say we are smashing these gender roles to pieces and making our own paths forward in the world! We are living in times of great changeSurviving adversity and coming out stronger on the other sideAnd slowly we are starting to remember the power we wield and the magic we create when we come together. To dance, to sing, to create and connect. Connect to nature, to one another, and to the deepest parts of our true selvesYarrawarra has been a gathering place for Gumbaynggirr People for thousands of years, and you can feel it when you come here.
