Redefining Normal workshops

Discussions about managing mental health, alcohol and other drug dependencies, and other addictive behaviours in a person-centred, interfaith and intergenerational setting.

You are warmly invited to Save The Date for the three follow-up &#x27;Redefining Normal&#x27; Mental Health Workshops in 2023, on 10 February, 16 March and 20 April. These events will be jointly hosted by the Justice and Peace Office of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney, and the Justice Peace &amp; Ecology Office of the Diocese of Parramatta, and our many Interfaith allies.Please note in your calendars that these multicultural, cross-generational and broad interfaith gatherings will be held from 9.30am to 12.30pm, at St Joachim&#x27;s Catholic Parish, at 2 Mills St, Lidcombe 2141, in the parish meeting rooms. Please invite your friends.Our focus will be on Practical Ways to Support Local Lived Experience among people in the general community with challenges and their carers, as well as helping pastoral support workers. This is in the fields of Mental Health and Trauma (incl. DFV), Alcohol and Other Drugs, On-line Gaming, Gambling and Virtual Media Addictive Behaviours, and helping Families and Pastoral Carers deal with challenges across ages, cultures and faiths.We will be introducing the new Curious Grace model, for adapting locally to help create Communities of Belonging suited to diverse local settings. And we will welcome new participants and existing partners in our growing community support movement. This work is aiming to grow, to help inner city, outer urban, rural and regional communities as it expands the web of collaborative care across communities.
