Things you should know

To celebrate 50 Years since being part of the inaugural1976 Ironbark this is what we have planned

Friday 25 September:

Participants settle in at their chosen accommodation.

6:30pm meet The Grand Old Crow Hotel, 32 William St, Crow’s Nest for a casual dinner and drink. People order and pay for their own meal and drinks. Everyone is welcome

Saturday 26 September:

· 9:30am Morning tea and Welcome to Ironbark by the current staff.

· Morning tour of Ironbark by current staff of Ironbark (suitable footwear needed)

· Group class photos

· BBQ lunch. BYO your favourite bevvy

· Afternoon tour by current staff of Ironbark

(Evening is free at this stage)

Sunday 27 September:

· Morning run at Ironbark for those who are keen.

· Chapel service at Ironbark conducted by Pastor Fielke

· Morning tea and farewell

Those attending the reunion will need to find their own accommodation

You are welcome to stay in the Ironbark dorms which are far more modern than you would remember with flushing toilets and regular shower cubicles. Please bring your own linen and pillow if you choose this option. Please indicate on your RSVP if this is your option

Caravan and mobile homes are welcome too at Ironbark. Please indicate on your RSVP if this is your option

There are many other accommodation options are available nearby and in Crows Nest from pubs, caravan parks with cabins, B&Bs and hotels.

Ravensbourne Escape are holding in reserve their holiday cabins for us. If anyone is wishing to organise a group to stay together, then Ravensbourne could be an option. It will be a case of first in first served. You will need to contact them directly by telephone 0427 989 570 or email info@ravensbourneescape.com.au and mention you are attending the SPLC Ironbark reunion. (Don’t try and book through their website)

To RSVP you need to:

· Pay $20 to cover the cost of lunch and morning tea.

· Let me know if you intend staying in the dorms, or if you intend to bring a mobile home or caravan.
