Join us for the first of its kind on the Northern Beaches - a Mum & Bubs Breathwork & Playgroup, a sanctuary of calm and connection led by Jaclyn Carlson, an certified breathwork instructor, mother mentor and local mama of 2.

Set in the serene D-F Studio in Brookvale, this unique event merges the soothing practices of breathwork with the vibrant dynamics of a playgroup. Designed especially for new mothers, this gathering supports your postpartum journey, allowing you to relax and bond deeply with your baby while connecting with other mothers in a supportive environment.

There is profound strength in mothers coming together, sharing their journeys and supporting one another. This event not only fosters individual well-being but also cultivates a vibrant community spirit.

No experience necessary, suitable for all levels of fitness.

Why This Event Is Different

This event offers a compassionate setting where attending to your baby's needs during the session is naturally integrated into the experience. Our sessions include adaptable breathwork techniques which you can easily engage in while feeding or comforting your baby. This approach ensures that you do not have to choose between self-care and caring for your child, facilitating a perfect balance of both.

Who It's For
This event is ideal for mothers with babies not yet crawling and those at least six weeks postpartum with medical clearance for post-natal activities.

What’s Included:

  • Meditation, Movement & Connection: We’ll starts with a warm welcome, engaging connection activities, and gentle movement
  • Breathwork Experience: A guided session designed to relax and rejuvenate, drawing on recent research that shows breathwork can significantly reduce stress, improve emotional well-being
  • Closing & Integration: We end with a gentle meditation and closing conversation
  • Tea & Play: Linger and stay for hot cuppa and connect with other mamas


Additional Notes:
Our beautiful space in the D-F Studio is a safe and engaging space where babies can play, allowing mothers to fully engage in activities with her baby right by her side. Please bring a soft blanket where your baby can lay comfortably next to you and any soft toys that you’d like to bring. **Please note there is limited space in the D-F foyer for prams and there are 2 flights of stairs up to our studio. Where possible please use a baby carrier/sling instead of a pram if available or bring your capsule if you like.

Jaclyn Carlson is a mother mentor and transformational breathwork instructor who makes support for mums, simple. A mother of two young boys herself, she has seen firsthand the importance of empowering women to navigate the complex world of motherhood, helping to build better ways to hold, support and guide them through the beautiful chaos and roller coaster ride that is parenthood and help them to connect back home to themselves through the power of breathwork.

With a previous corporate career in the digital marketing world that spans two decades and years working as a business and life coach, she is a passionate gatherer, connector and space holder of women. After a heartfelt business pivot she now offers a unique blend of insight, humor, experience and unwavering support to mothers globally through her coaching services, online programs and community breathwork events.

She’s happiest by the beach with sand in her toes, surrounded by family and the heart-warming giggles of her little ones. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, she now resides in Sydney's Northern Beaches.
