An enchanting event for songwriting lovers inspired by Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe. Experience the magic of songwriting up close and personal with four incredible songwriters in the round. Global songwriting community<a href="https://www.iheartsongwritingclub.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> I Heart Songwriting Club</a> has been helping 1200 songwriters write over 25,000 songs over the past 8 years. At this event, witness some award-winning and career-changing outcomes of that practice with performances by Club founder Francesca de Valence, Karen Law and E.S. Malaika.<a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/francesca-de-valence/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Francesca de Valence</a> is a multi-award-winning songwriter with a heroic song catalogue of over 500 songs with cuts by much-loved Australian artists. Based in Brisbane, Francesca has been published by Songwriting Magazine UK and has facilitated workshops worldwide with APRA AMCOS, Irish Music Rights Organisation and Folk Alliance International. She is co-founder of the Whitsundays Songwriter Festival and hosts the inspiring podcast “The Magic of Songwriting”. Karen Law has played the Gympie Muster and Woodford Folk Festival in the past year. A finalist in UK Songwriting Contest 2021 and winner of the Alistair Hulett Songwriting Trophy 2020, Karen is also founder and host of Sunday Folk in Nambour (Sunshine Coast) and her songs are played by Macca on “Australia All Over”. More songwriters are to be announced!This event series is delivered in partnership with UNE Tamworth.The UNE SRI events are proudly funded by the NSW Government under the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund and delivered in association with Tamworth Regional Council.
