Join Clint Morgan from Rebound WA for an informative and inclusive look into what its like to live with a physical disability.

Lords Recreation Centre

Wheel Life sessions are often facilitated by Paralympians and some of Australia’s best Wheelchair Basketball players. The City of Subiaco has engaged Rebound WA to run their Wheel Life program at Lords Recreation Centre, this is a disability awareness program where participants learn about life with a physical disability through open conversation and sports.Wheel LIFE is a program designed to motivate and educate, in a fun and inclusive environment.Event detailsIntroductionAthlete will introduce themselves and run through their background (e.g. disability, involvement in sport, how wheelchair basketball differs from able bodied basketball, classifications in disability sport etc.)A﻿ctivityGroups will be shown how to control their chairs through a progression of various warm activities such as relay races, British bulldog etc.C﻿onclusionThis is then the time for a Question &amp; Answer session. It is important to ask any question at all, whether it be about disabilities or sport, our presenters have heard it all!Additional informationStandard P.E/sports wear is most appropriate. Please ensure that you wear closed in shoes and no jewellery.Light refreshments will be available.
