A celebration of the women of the Lower Hawkesbury River Creeks. Fashion parade, storytelling and live Irish music. Join us this May for lively fiddle playing by Fiona McVicar and roving storytelling with an Irish theme. You are invited for a splendid afternoon on the grass. Prize for the best outfit judged by an extraordinary local. byo afternoon treats and rug or seating. Family friendly event.

Tales, mysteries and hidden histories of the women Up the Creeks around the Lower Hawkesbury. Storyteller and raconteur Kate LaMey unravels the mysteries of life and death of women up the creek at a time when women could work a farm, fire a gun, kill a snake, chop firewood, scale and gut fish, and row a boat meanwhile giving birth to ten or more children.

D﻿ress in your best 1800s outfit - parody, fashion, or creative interpretation. Expressions of the bustle, fabulous hat or frock coat anticipated. Prize for the best dressed and fashion parade. Or come as you are ! All welcome.
