ART - MUSIC - PERFORMANCE - COMMUNITYBe part of the very first of Platform’s inner-city takeovers featuring live music, DJs, performance, installation works, a visual art exhibition and live mural painting!Platform is an inclusive artist-run project showcasing the talents of Meanjin&#x27;s diverse music and arts scene.Born out of a desire to change the culture of the industry from the ground up, Platform embraces experimentation, encourages community feedback and aims to create more authentic spaces for artists and audiences alike. Platform 01 is packed with art, music &amp; performance from 20+ female, gender diverse and queer artists making waves in the city. Check out our line up now!TICKET POLICYWe are implementing a &#x27;pay what you can&#x27; ticketing system. We believe in providing an equitable means for various marginalised groups and those with limited finances to experience our events.We encourage those with the means to support the event and artists to pay the recommended ticket price or more, which will contribute to future events and ensure that we can continue making Platform as accessible to the community as possible. Those from marginalised groups and low-income earners are welcome to pay what they can afford for entry, with a minimum of $10. We also have a number of free tickets available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members. Free tickets are also available for those who cannot afford the minimum ticket price. Please contact us on the Platform Instagram to access these tickets. SAFETY AND COMMUNITY POLICYPlatform exists for the creative expression and entertainment of all community members, especially those from diverse cultural and ethinic backgrounds, sexualities and genders. We aim to create safer and more comfortable spaces within the industry for artists and attendees alike through shared respect. No bigotry, racism, queerphobia, sexism, ableism and other forms of discrimination will be tolerated. Please alert a member of venue staff or one of the organisers in person or via Instagram if you experience or notice any discriminatory or harmful behaviours. ACCESSIBILITY The ground floor of Superordinary, where this event will take place, is wheelchair and mobility aid accessible. All bathrooms are available for people of all genders (one with urinals and one without) and there are accessible bathrooms within the venue at the right of the stage. This event will not be AusLan interpreted but you are welcome to get in touch with us to bring along a carer, family member or friend who may interpret by getting in touch with us on Instagram (@pltfrm.events). GENERAL VENUE INFOA selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the venue. We encourage responsible drinking. The outside area at the front of the venue is available for smoking. Platform 01 is held on the unceded lands of the Jagera and Turrbal people. We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of this land and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We acknowledge that First Nations communities have created and shared art on this land for thousands of years and recognise their significant ongoing contributions to art and music.
