The Real Songwriters of Melbourne (RSOM) is an independent organisation that seeks to celebrate, support and develop emerging songwriters. Established in 2014 by artist and emerging entrepreneur Jena Marino, RSOM offers a wide range of activities including live performances, networking events, professional development and artist services.

Do you want to begin a career in audio production and turn your ideas into hits?

Due to the success of our workshop last year, we at The Real Songwriters of Melbourne are excited to bring back another edition of our Audio Production masterclasses with none other than our very own George Charra.We will be offering the following classes:DEBUT: Saturday 29th October, 10am-12pm. This workshop is ideal for creatives who are new to audio production or have some knowledge about the world of production. This class will introduce participants to the world of audio production and sound design as you will learn about the types of audio software, setting up your studio, recording radio-ready vocals plus the essential tools needed to begin your audio production journey.INTERMEDIATE: Sunday 30th October, 10am-12pm. This workshop is ideal for those who feel confident with the basics of audio production software and sound design and want to level up! This workshop will continue from the basics taught in our debut class and will give participants tools to further maximise their production.This workshop will include a live demonstration using the program Ableton, however the knowledge taught in our workshops can be applied across any audio software program.George Charra is a well-known member of our Community and has worked with some of Melbourne’s most influential figureheads such as Jack The Bear, Zac Waters and Danny Bonnici. He has also worked with many artists in the Australian music industry including Daisy Spratt, BANTA, Ivoris, St. Emerald, Rogerson., R¥ &amp; Sam Berdt.2021 was a huge year of growth for the producer as he released an official remix of 'Unfamiliar' by Seeb  (known for their remix of Mike Posner's 'I Took A Pill in Ibiza') ft HRVY (UK, known for his hit 'I Miss Myself' with NOTD) &amp; Goodboys (well known for their tracks 'Piece of Your Heart' with Meduza and 'Lose Control' with Meduza ft Becky Hill) through Universal Records.He is also working on his own material, as last year saw him release 'Love on Paper' was his first official release where the producer both produced and performed the vocals on the track. He is in the process of preparing for his next catalogue which will be released in the summer of 2022.Registrations are available now for this exclusive workshop. We look forward to welcoming you!
