Run &amp; Walk for your Heart presented by The Clifford Craig Foundation and Rotary Club of Launceston is our annual 5km run and walk. It aims to raise much-needed awareness of heart health within our community and funds for innovative medical research, life-changing equipment and patient facilities at the Launceston General Hospital. Heart disease affects 4 million Australians every year and kills one person every 12 minutes. In Northern Tasmania, we have one of the highest rates in the nation- which is rather concerning! In order to change these stats, we need to be more aware of our own heart health and make a commitment to healthier lifestyle choices. Starting with running or walking in Run and Walk For Your Heart!Details you need to know about the event:When: Sunday 2nd OctoberTime: Kids 800m event starts at 9:30am, 5km starts at 10amWhere: UTAS Stadium Precinct Cost:5km (virtual and physical event)$30 Adults, $15 Children (U/16), Family $65 (2 Adults and 2 Children U/16)Kids 800m event$5 per childKids 800m Event This year we will also welcome back the 800m kids run/walk - a popular event for kids to participate in (although they are welcome to give the 5km a crack!)Virtual option After the success of last year's virtual option, we have decided to offer it again! Giving you the flexibility to complete the race anytime between Sunday 25th September to 5pm on the 2nd of October. Once you register for the virtual event we will send you additional information on how to share your results with us. Teams Fitness is way more fun when you do it together!
