On Saturday 8 October 2016, Queensland’s oldest community legal centre will celebrate 40 years of promoting social justice and improving the quality of life of Queenslanders. To mark the occasion, we will be holding a celebratory dinner at Brisbane’s iconic venue, the Tivoli Theatre.
Such an auspicious anniversary is an opportunity for us to celebrate our resilience in changing times, to reflect on past challenges and successes and to look forward to meeting the future needs of our clients. This is a time for us to celebrate the people who have made this vital service to disadvantaged Queenslanders the success it is.
We honour the vision and determination of our founders and we recognise the commitment and sheer hard work of the hundreds of staff members and legal advice volunteers who have kept the service running over the last four decades.
A special awards ceremony will be held, where Chief Justice Catherine Holmes will induct our most outstanding and tireless volunteers into the Caxton Hall of Fame. To nominate someone for the Caxton Hall of Fame please click here.
Purchase individual tickets or a table for your team. If you are unable to attend the evening but wish to support us please consider making a tax deductible donation via Eventbrite.
