Join us for the annual 3MT HASS Faculty Final competition. All welcome!

The University of Queensland's <a href="https://threeminutethesis.uq.edu.au/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Three-Minute Thesis competition</a> cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. Presenting in a 3MT competition increases their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.In 2023 the UQ HASS 3MT competition will be presented as an in-person event.Date: Tuesday 25 July Time: 11am–1pmVenue: Terrace Room, Sir Llew Edwards (14), St Lucia CampusContestants: <ul><li>Communication and Arts - Shu Chen</li><li>Education - Aaron Teo</li><li>Historical and Philosophical Inquiry - Mitchell Gilligan</li><li>Institute for Social Science Research - Sylistah Gadam</li><li>Languages and Cultures - Andrea Rodriguez</li><li>Music - Sarah Maher</li><li>Political Science &amp; International Studies - Monica DiLeo</li></ul>Judges: <ul><li>Isobelle Carmody</li><li>Mia Strasek-Barker</li><li>Amy Henderson</li></ul>The <a href="https://hass.uq.edu.au/event/session/14373" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HASS Faculty Final - 3MT competition</a> will feature three prize categories: <ul><li>Winner: $500</li><li>Runner-up: $250</li><li>People's choice: $250</li></ul>The winner of the 3MT Faculty Final will progress to the UQ Final and the People's Choice winner progresses to the Wildcard competition. The winner of the Wildcard Final will also progress to the UQ Final as the Wildcard entrant.
