AAMEG’s Africa Awards are back, culminating in a formal celebration and networking event on 1 September. The only forum of its kind to recognise those Australian explorers, miners and industry service organisations that champion a transparent, equitable and mutually beneficial mineral resources industry in Africa, this is an evening that sets the global standard for innovation in sustainable and ethical practices.The 2022 event will host a panel of both new and returning judges, including Ben Gargett of PwC, Simon Fitzgerald of MCA, Nkandu Beltz of Beltz Mining, Sherif Andrawes of BDO and Catherine Galli of Rescology.THE CATEGORIES ARE:<ul><li>Best Innovation in Corporate Social Development Sponsored by Base Resources</li><li>Best Workforce and Industry Development Initiative Sponsored by Corpay</li><li>Emerging ESG Leader Award, Sponsored by the Minerals Council of Australia </li></ul>EVENT DETAILSDate: Thursday, 1 September Time: =&gt; Awards Ceremony: 5.30pm - 6.30pm=&gt; Cocktail Reception, Sponsored by Perenti: 6.30pm - 7.30pmLocation: The AAMEG Africa Awards Ceremony will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Perth as part of the official Africa Down Under Conference Agenda.Cost: Free for AAMEG members and ADU delegates / $45 for non-members REGISTRATION ESSENTIALIf you are registered to attend ADU, you will receive automatic access to the Africa Awards, however for catering purposes, registration is still appreciated via the Eventbrite page.To register for ADU visit: https://www.africadownunderconference.com/registration/Those who do not have an ADU registration can purchase tickets as an AAMEG - ADU Guest, which will grant the holder with a single session pass from 5:15pm onwards, on 1 September only.
