Studio Gallery works with a diverse and relevant collective of artists ranging from emerging through to advanced career stages. Our galleries are situated in the heart of Armadale, a converted warehouse in Cheltenham and our first Sydney gallery is located in the former headquarters of Fratelli Fresh and Danks Street Produce Merchants in Waterloo, offering an expansive exhibition space. We’re focused on delivering thought provoking, dynamic works to an ever increasing collector base as well as continuing our engagement with a global audience via digital platforms.

<h2>A SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN 2022</h2><h2>EXHIBITION OPENING</h2><p></p><p>It is with great pleasure that Studio Gallery presents the group exhibition &#x27;A Sunday Afternoon in 2022&#x27;.</p><p></p><p>Please join us for the opening night  to celebrate.</p><p></p><p><strong>Exhibition Opening: 6:00  -  8:00pm, Thursday 25th August 2022. </strong></p><p>Studio Gallery - 3-7 Danks Street, Waterloo, NSW</p><p>Exhibition runs from: 25th August - 9th September 2022</p><p>Gallery hours : Monday - Friday 10 - 5pm, Weekends 10 - 5pm</p><p></p><p>The history of art is a tumble dryer loaded with styles, genres, themes and theories, one toppling the other as they spin in perpetuity. Whilst the Impressionist movement is deep-rooted in 19th century France, its tenets, both philosophical and aesthetic, continue to reverberate through new generations of artmaking. These days, a restored enthusiasm for en plein air landscape, and portraits of everyday subject matter, seems a reaction to our increasingly digitised contemporary. Echoes of the pointillist techniques, leisurely themes and colour theory that canonised Georges Seurat’s, ‘A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, 1884-1886,’ can be discovered in Contemporary musings.</p><p>Studio Gallery presents A Sunday Afternoon in 2022: a study of artists whose current practice, whether consciously or not, is contributing to the revival of Impressionism now.</p><p></p><h3>Online catalogue can be viewed <a href="https://www.studiogallerymelbourne.com.au/collections/a-sunday-afternoon-in-2022" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>.</h3><h3></h3><p>Studio Gallery works with a diverse and relevant collective of artists ranging from emerging through to advanced career stages. Our galleries are situated in the heart of Armadale, 1238 High St with our second Melbourne gallery in a large converted warehouse at 14 Dissik St Cheltenham.  Our Waterloo gallery is located at 3-7 Danks Street, offering Sydney’s largest bi level contemporary art space.
