TheSummer Institutes in Computational Social Science(SICSS) is an international program created to train the next generation of social science researchers and incubate cutting-edge research across disciplinary boundaries. Since its inception at Princeton in 2017, the program has delivered training to more than 700 early-career researchers from 124 academic fields worldwide. In 2022, the University of Sydney became the first Australian university to host the Summer Institute at theSydney Social Sciences and Humanities Advanced Research Centre(SSSHARC). The Sydney Social Sciences and Humanities Advanced Research Centre is a collaborative research space designed to advance innovative research partnerships and methodologies across the humanities and social sciences.

Sometimes research projects can feel never ending, but in fact most projects do have a finish point (such as submitting a thesis). What then happens to the data collected in the project? This workshop starts from that question, invites participants to consider possible answers and then to think about the implications for their current data management practices. We hope that the workshop will enable participants to start making a plan for the future of their data.For queries contact sicss.admin@sydney.edu.auSimon MusgraveDr Simon Musgrave was a member of the linguistics program at Monash University from 2003 until 2020. His research interests included the use of computational tools in linguistic research and the relationship between linguistics and digital humanities. He was involved in the Australian National Corpus project, an important piece of digital research infrastructure, and has been a member of the executive of the Australasian Association for Digital Humanities since 2015. Simon currently is part of the team delivering various language-related infrastructures including the Australian Text Analytics Platform and the Language Data Commons of Australia.
