Join Dr Debbie Saunders, Swift Parrot expert and bird monitoring specialist, Riverina LLS Swift Parrot Project Manager Allie Hendley, and Murrumbidgee Landcare Coordinator Ben Muller at the Ingalba Nature Reserve as we stroll through the forest and hopefully spot some critically endangered Swifities! Debbie will discuss Swifties, their habitat and bird survey techniques, while Allie and Ben will discuss ways to improve Swift Parrot habitat on farms, reserves and parks in the Riverina as well as ways to be involved with Landcare projects and workshops.Please ensure you bring:- suitable walking shoes and warm clothes,- binoculars, chair, coffee mug,- water bottle as limited supply will be onsite.- there are no toilets available onsite. Nearest facilities are Temora, 9min drive.***A complimentary morning tea will be provided after the walk***, GF options are provided.<h1>LOCATION:</h1>Look for the Landcare signs at the intersection of Burley Griffin Way and Western Boundary Trail, Ingalba Nature Reserve, approx 900 metres WEST of the Ingalba rest area. Turn into the reserve and parking will be visible - please park carefully and beware of puddles and vegetation.If you miss the entrance, the nearest cross St is Burley Griffin Way and Tara Bectric Rd. For avid navigators the GPS coordinates are -34.43492, 147.42302.Please be aware mobile reception my be variable in this area.NOTE: If Swifties are not visible in this area we may chose to move to the Eastern entrance to Ingalba - intersection of Burley Griffin Wat and Entrance Trail.
