Overview

The LEGO Education EV3 workshop is a hands-on experience for Middle and Secondary School teachers. The workshop will lead participants through a series of engaging challenges that are relevant to the STEM Australian Curriculum.
The workshop session is designed to be hands-on, encourage collaborative working and to have some fun!

Expect:
* Real world Based Challenges.
* A hands-on experience to implement in your classroom
* To find out how to deliver the curriculum in an engaging way.

Workshop participants are to bring their own laptop with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education EV3 software pre-installed. Software available for download www.legoeducation.com.au/downloads

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Presenter:

Mark Lockett has an Honours degree in Electronic Engineering and Post Graduate teaching qualification in Design Technology. He is the Robotics and Engineering Coordinator at The Southport School on the Gold Coast. Mark has presented workshops and articles at numerous National and International STEM Education Conferences. He has worked in China with the Chinese Ministry of Education, Queensland University of Technology and the LEGO Foundation, in an Educational Reform Project. Mark is a past recipient of the Australian and New Zealand LEGO Educator Award and a finalist in the Queensland Excellence in Teaching Awards. Mark enjoys sharing his passion of LEGO, Engineering and all things Robotic!
