Down Syndrome Victoria (DSV) is a community based, not-for-profit membership organisation. We have a proud history of supporting individuals, families and the community since 1978.We work alongside people with Down syndrome and their families to reach their full potential and live the lives they choose.

This workshop will help you learn more about making your own decisions.

This workshop is for adults with Down syndrome.This workshop will help you learn more about making your own decisions. It will teach you about the types of decisions we can make and how we can all develop decision making skills.Participants will gain knowledge about:<ul><li>Types of decisions</li><li>How to develop your decision making skills</li></ul>SpeakersMatt O’Neil, DSV Advisory Network ChairMatt is passionate about his community and raising awareness about Down syndrome. He is very excited to be the Chair of the Down Syndrome Advisory Network Victoria (DSANVic).Matt says: “Making my own decisions is important for me to control my life. It is about what is important to me and what I want to have in life and what I want to do. Making decisions is putting things into action.”Zoe Shearer, Health Project Manager at Down Syndrome Victoria. Zoe has worked delivering project and training in the non-profit sector for the last 16 years. Zoe is passionate about working with people to bring about real change and improving outcomes for people with disability and those that support them.For Zoe, making decisions can be a hard skill to learn for everyone, but it is a really important part of living life and an excellent skill to have.
