An opportunity for stakeholders to ask questions about the Retailer Authorisation and Exemption review prior to submissions closing.

<p>The AER is undertaking a review of the Retailer Authorisation and Exemption framework set out in the National Energy Customer Framework (NECF) to assess whether the current energy consumer protection framework remains fit-for-purpose in a transitioning energy market. The review forms part of the Energy Security Board&#x27;s (ESB) distributed energy resources (DER) implementation plan to effectively integrate DER into the National Electricity Market. </p><p>On 22 April 2022 the AER published an issues paper for public consultation. Submissions on this paper are open until Friday 27 May 2022. This public forum is an opportunity for stakeholders to ask questions about the Retailer Authorisation and Exemption review prior to submissions closing.</p>
