We are thrilled to introduce Snuggle Up with Spineless, a suite of online events spanning from April to June. These events aim to give audiences a taste of the talent that Spineless Wonders, and our new imprint ES-Press, has to offer.

26 May will be a chance for us to travel with editor Cassandra Atherton! Yes, Cassandra will be introducing us to the remarkable contributors to the microlit anthology Travel. A perfect way to accompany creators as they make journeys big and small across the world. What’s more, there will be the opportunity to score a free copy of the anthology on the night, but you will have to join us to find out how! NB We will send you the giveaway files via email once you register.About The BookIn this anthology of microliterature over forty writers explore the theme of travel, from the confusing variety of toilets found around the world to adrenaline-inducing bus trips, the surprise child of a holiday romance, and a businessman’s life-threatening cycle to the office. There are adventures in Australia and abroad, journeys to other planets, expeditions into deep seas, travellers who haven&#x27;t left their houses and those who are forced to leave their homelands.Each story, at less than a page in length, is perfect for reading on the go. Edited by award-winning writer, Cassandra Atherton along with guest curator joanne burns. She was a Visiting Scholar in English at Harvard University, a Visiting Fellow at Sophia University, Japan, and is currently Professor of Writing and Literature at Deakin University. Cassandra co-authored Prose Poetry: An Introduction (Princeton UP, 2020) and co-edited the Anthology of Australian Prose Poetry (MUP, 2020) with Paul Hetherington, her most recent book of prose poetry is Leftovers (Gazebo, 2020). Cassandra has judged many literary awards, including the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards: Prize for Poetry, The Lord Mayor’s Prize for Poetry and the Australian Book Review Elizabeth Jolley short story competition. She is a commissioning editor for Westerly magazine, series editor at Spineless Wonders and associate editor at MadHat Press (USA).

About the Snuggle Up With Spineless SeriesWe are thrilled to present Snuggle Up with Spineless, a suite of online events spanning from April to June. These events aim to give audiences a taste of the talent that Australian publisher Spineless Wonders, and our new imprint ES-Press, has to offer. There’s something for all tastes: audio tales, micro- and short fiction, and experiments in poetry! Each event will take place at 6:00pm AEST and they all take place on Thursdays, so it’s a little easier to mark your calendars. These events are our gift to you. Tickets are free so you can soak up the opportunity of adding some new creators to your list of favourites. And to help with this, we are giving all audience members a taste of what they’ll be experiencing when they download their tickets! Yep, we’re that generous. With each ticket you book, you will receive an excerpt of one of our new titles. Just enough to get you excited about what’s to come. We can’t wait for you all to join us!
