We are thrilled to introduce Snuggle Up with Spineless, a suite of online events spanning from April to June. These events aim to give audiences a taste of the talent that Spineless Wonders, and our new imprint ES-Press, has to offer.

On 12 May, Dominique Hecq, author of Smacked, will be in conversation with author Eugen M. Bacon and audiobook narrator Ella Watson-Russell. These three supremely talented individuals will be discussing the publishing journey for Smacked (as both a work of print and a work of audio), writing, and generally having a great time! NB We will send you the giveaway files via email once you register.About The BookSmacked and other stories of addiction is an evocative collection of moments showcasing human nature at its weakest and most vulnerable. Hecq’s poetic prose situates the reader firmly into the lives of her characters, taking them along for the ride as she presents each story with an inimitable flair that retains the realities of addiction and dependency. She now lives in Melbourne. Hecq writes across genres and sometimes across tongues. Her works include a novel, four collections of stories and eleven books of poetry. Tracks (2020) and Songlines (2021) are her latest offerings. With Eugen Bacon, she co-authored Speculate (2021), a microlit dialogue.EUGEN M. BACON is African Australian—her work has won, been shortlisted, longlisted or commended in national and international awards, including the Foreword Book of the Year, Bridport Prize, Copyright Agency Prize, Horror Writers Association Diversity Grant, Australian Shadows, Ditmar and Nommo Awards. Bacon’s creative work has appeared in Award Winning Australian Writing, Fantasy, Fantasy &amp; Science Fiction (Bloomsbury) and The Year’s Best African Speculative Fiction (Jembefola Press).The evenings event will include readings from Smacked by audiobook narrator and actor, ELLA WATSON-RUSSELL.

About the Snuggle Up With Spineless SeriesWe are thrilled to present Snuggle Up with Spineless, a suite of online events spanning from April to June. These events aim to give audiences a taste of the talent that Australian publisher Spineless Wonders, and our new imprint ES-Press, has to offer. There’s something for all tastes: audio tales, micro- and short fiction, and experiments in poetry! Each event will take place at 6:00pm AEST and they all take place on Thursdays, so it’s a little easier to mark your calendars. These events are our gift to you. Tickets are free so you can soak up the opportunity of adding some new creators to your list of favourites. And to help with this, we are giving all audience members a taste of what they’ll be experiencing when they download their tickets! Yep, we’re that generous.
