Remote Society is excited to bring this Mothers Day Edition Kokedama workshop to the Wheatbelt.

Mother and Daughter, Mother-In law, Mentor, Role Model, Sister, Special friend, or on ones own, this workshop is for you. Come along and learn how to construct your very own hand made Kokedama while enjoying in lovely conversation with a champers in hand. There will be gourmet selections of food to keep you full also! Wake up Mother’s day to a beautiful hand crafted masterpiece, designed by yours truly. A nature-inspired art form which has its origins in Japan is a decorative moss ball on which an ornamental plant grows. Koke meaning “moss” and dama meaning “ball” can be either hanging or placed on a shelf. They are a stylish way to ‘bring the outside in’ and have a life span of 1-2 years before needing a re wrap which you will learn the skills to do this yourself in our workshop.Run by Teneille from Entwining Kokedamas our hands-on workshop will provide you with all the materials and guidance to make your very own Kokedama which you will be able to take home at the end of the class! You will go home with all of the knowledge on where to buy materials and confidence to continue to make your own Kokedama garden at home.Why we love Kokedamas:This relaxing craft allows us to relieve the tension by working with our hands and focusing on one task.
