ANSTO Lego BricQ Prime  Workshop 8+

Home to over 300 scientists and researchers, ANSTO is home to some of Australia’s most critical scientific infrastructure including the nation’s only research reactor, a suite of neutron beam instruments, particular accelerators, cyclotrons and the Australian Synchrotron. These instruments are helping to address health issues, climate change and develop new innovations to support Australian industry.

LEGO Education BricQ Motion will use BricQ Prime's brand new robotics set to experiment with forces, motion and sports.

ANSTO Discovery Centre

LEGO® Education BricQ Motion engages elementary and middle-school students in STEAM learning. Lego’s brand new robotics set uses Scratch based coding, making it easy to program its multiple sensors and motors. You will use loops, conditional operators and variables to experiment with forces, motion and interactions in the context of sports. The creative design options are endless! Cost : $ 35In this half day workshop, you will work in pairs to experiment with forces, motion and interactions in the context of sports.All workshops are delivered by accredited educators with experience in science, engineering, programming and robotics. The recommended minimum age is 8 years. Please call the Discovery Centre on 9717 3090 if you have questions on suitability. Please bring food, drinks and a hat for morning tea and lunch breaks. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the workshop starting at the ANSTO Discovery Centre.
