PRINT STITCH BIND

Take time out to learn something new and exciting! Botanical printing is a way to transfer and preserve  leaf patterns on cloth and paper, use mark making and stitch to add depth to a botanically printed fabric, create bookcloth and bind a unique journal.

In this full day of practical advice and hands on learning explore paper cutting and book making techniques, create a unique cloth cover and finish your piece by using a modern version of 2000yo Coptic binding. This is a wonderful way to showcase botanically printed papers, or use plain paper to create a journal. 
Morning and afternoon tea supplied, students need to BYO lunch. 
Book board, fabric, waxed linen threads and paper supplied along with workshop notes and most other requirements. 
Most equipment is provided but students will be requested to bring a few extra basic supplies if they have them. This list will be emailed upon ticket purchase.
