South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) is a community centre just for YOU.We run Supported Playgroups in a big, friendly hall opposite Mascot Memorial Park.We also host groups in Kensington Park, Zetland and Eastlakes.We also host courses to help parents, as well as programs for people from all walks of life.Our services are available toallpeople in the LGAs of Botany Bay, Port Botany, Mascot, Randwick, Woollahra, Waverley, and City of Sydney.SECC is managed by a voluntary board of directors made up of local community members and services. Note: Individuals are able to ONLY book 1 spot per week (ie you will need to choose between the Monday or Friday session)Do you live in the Bayside, Randwick, Woollahra, Waverley, or City of Sydney LGA in Sydney, Australia? Whether you love singing, listening or dancing to music, we have something special for you.SECC is now hosting music therapy group sessions to help you achieve your health goals and improve wellbeing through all your favourite musical activities.Music therapy is a research-based allied health profession. In this type of therapy, music is used to support people with their non-musical goals with the aim of improving their physical and mental health, wellbeing and functioning.We are now offering you a wide range of music activities: karaoke, songwriting, lyrics analysis, drumming, improvisation, music and movement, music listening, music and imagery, and more.Music therapy can help address the following goals:•	Emotional•	Physical•	Cognitive•	Sensory•	Social•	CommunicationMusic therapy is for everyone, regardless of age, gender and cultural background. We adopt a strengths-based, client-centred approach - always putting YOU first. We're all about empowerment and transformation.There is no right or wrong in music. You don't need to know how to play the piano or guitar. If you love music and are keen to take your physical and mental health to the next level, come along and kickstart your music therapy journey with SECC.Group Music therapy sessions will be facilitated by Venus, a registered music therapist.Note: Bookings need to be made each week.Note: Individuals are able to ONLY book 1 spot per week (ie you will need to choose between the Monday or Friday session)
