South Eastern Community Connect (SECC) is a community centre just for YOU.We run Supported Playgroups in a big, friendly hall opposite Mascot Memorial Park.We also host groups in Kensington Park, Zetland and Eastlakes.We also host courses to help parents, as well as programs for people from all walks of life.Our services are available toallpeople in the LGAs of Botany Bay, Port Botany, Mascot, Randwick, Woollahra, Waverley, and City of Sydney.SECC is managed by a voluntary board of directors made up of local community members and services. <h2>Enjoy connecting and creating!</h2>Whether you are beginning a new journey, or want to continue practicing your skills, this is a safe space for people to gather and connect through the therapeutic process of creating art.Drop in any time from 5:30pm - 7pm and join in. Throughout this time we will have OPTIONAL elements which you can choose to engage in (or not):<ul><li>Explore art mediums including drawing, painting, clay, collage and nature art.</li><li>Play social creative activities and games </li><li>Respond to inspirational stimuli such as themes, poems and artworks. </li><li>Learn grounding meditative practices</li><li>Enjoy social connection with a group of community members</li><li>Basic art materials supplied </li></ul>It’s up to you… you might like to work on your project on your own but engage in social conversation… you might like to collaborate with others… or you may enjoy the space of shared company but work with your own materials in silence.
