Northey Street City Farm

Learn how to add beauty to your garden, and to your meals, by growing edible flowers.

This workshop will discuss which common garden flowers are edible and some that are poisonous. You’ll learn which grow best in the subtropics and their growing requirements.We will then tour the Farm to collect flowers and use them to prepare a salad and summer rolls. After that you’ll learn to make crystallised flowers which can be used to decorate cakes and desserts.You will take home recipes for flower liqueurs, oils, sweet and savory dishes.
