Support regional cherry growers and pick your own cherries in Wombat, NSW. This trip is only open to current ANU students.

Support regional cherry growers and pick your own cherries in Wombat, NSW. This trip is only open to current ANU students. In line with venue requirements, we can only allow students who have been fully vaccinated to join us for this trip. This subsidised trip costs $15/person and it includes return transfer from ANU to Wombat, NSW + entry fee to the cherry farm and ANU insurance coverage. You will need to pay for cherries that you pick at the farm. Cherries cost $9/kg. If you require assistance with trip costs, a number of equity tickets are available to help you with your trip. Please contact us at student.experience@anu.edu.au for equity tickets. Registrations for this trip will be made available in three rounds to avoid students missing out. We have 45 tickets available. Bus leaves from in front of Warrambul Lodge. First round - 18 November 2021 Second round - 22 November 2021 Third round - 26 November 2021 Cancellations and refunds: If you are no longer able to make it for your trip, we can offer refunds for cancellations made before 29 November 2021. Refunds take 5-7 business days. You will need to transfer your ticket or find your own replacement for all cancellations made on and after 30 November 2021. Replacement must be a current ANU student. Rain and wet-weather information: In the event of rain or predicted wet weather, this event will be postponed to the nearest non-rainy day. We will let you know at least 3 days in advance should we need to postpone this trip due to weather. You will be given the opportunity to cancel your ticket if the new proposed date does not suit you. Trip durationWombat is approximately 1,5 hours away from ANU. We will be meeting in front of Warrambul Lodge to board the chartered bus. Itinerary:1 PM: Meet in front of Warrambul Lodge1 PM - 2 30: Bus trip to Wombat, NSW2 30 PM - 4 PM: Cherry picking + opportunity to look around the orchard4 PM: return trip to Canberra5 30 PM: Drop off at Barry Drive bus stop (ANU)
