Qigong (气功), also known as Chi Kung, is a simple form of practice from the ancient China.  It consists of movements, stillness, breath and awareness.What are the benefits of practicing Qigong (Chi Kung):Qigong balances our internal subtle energies, and also harmonises the energy within our body with that of the natural world.This improves our personal energy and vitality.When our own energy works in synchrony with the natural world,conflict ends, andstruggle eases.  There isan embodied sense of support, clarity and ease coming from life.The practice requires a gentle intention and awareness of the body  This allows us to tune into the natural spontaneity/impulses of the body, so that theneeds and guidances of the body can be heard.It also reminds us of theluminous stillnessthat encompass it all.  In this space,our natural self healing capacity is awakened.

In Taoist theory, Women stores the life &quot;essense&quot; in both our kidneys AND the heart. When the heart (middle Dan-Tian/energy centre) is open, our emotions are calm. We are vital, compassionate, and filled with LOVE. There are a few considerations that are unique to Women&#x27;s health and wellbeing: - our hormonal balance, and- our heart ----------------------What is Qigong?Qigong is a simple and powerful practice from the Ancient China. It consists of movements, stillness, breath and awareness.Qigong balances our internal suble energies. It can also exert a strong effect on our hormonal and the nervous systems, by working with specific organ energies. Qigong can be practiced by anyone, at any age - even seated! ----------------------<h3>Benefits of joining Women&#x27;s Qigong:</h3>- -&gt; Balancing hormonal system: through working with specific organ energies, in particular the kidneys, stomach/spleen, and the liver.- -&gt;Harmonising the emotions: through working with the heart centre.- -&gt; Calming the mind and the nervous system : through strenthening our kidney energy we can pacify the adrenal gland. Qigong consists of flowing movements, stillness, breath, and importantly, AWARENESS. This encourages our mind to slow down, and tune back into the natural rhythms of the body. Our body thus becomes a safe terrain to reside in. From this safe place, out pours our sense of flow, creativity, receptivity, and full potential. Out pours our inner radiance.- -&gt; Be part of a Community: there is a beautiful synergy arising from practicting together as a group of women. We understand many challenges we might facing, are also faced by others. Together, we can offer support to one another:) ----------------------<h3>In each class, we will cover the following:</h3>--&gt; a brief teaching on how to harmonise our body and emotions with Traditional Chinese Medicine theory.--&gt; gentle Taoist stretches: Tao-yin--&gt; simple forms to harmonise the elemental energies in the body: based on the Taoist 5 Element theory: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal.--&gt; short Taoist mediation to cultivate the Jing (essense) within.--&gt; extra Q&amp;A and sharing time: IN ADDITION to the class timeI will open the the ZOOM Room 10 minitues BEFORE the class, AND stay on 10 minitues AFTER the class - if you wish to share or ask any questions regarding the practice:) A recording of the class valid for 10 days will be sent.----------------------------Friday morning class is a REPEAT in content of the Monday evening class- in a slightly different rhythm. You are welcome to attend both classes of the week. I am also a registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (RCST), and a remedial massage therapist specialising in Myofascial Release.
