An ADF Member and families event - 2026 Welcome Expo, Cairns

ADF Families in Cairns and surrounding areas are invited to attend the 2026 Welcome Expo.

NOTE: This event is only for Australian Defence Force members and families

Cairns ADF members and families are invited to come along to our 2026 Welcome Expo at the Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron on Friday 27th February from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Whether you are new to Cairns or have been here for a while, everyone is welcome to attend!

Discover what the Cairns region has to offer you and your family, including entertainiment and information from local Defence affiliated organisations and community groups.

Tickets to this event are free and numbers are limited so please register now to ensure you don’t miss out.

Important ticketing information:

· When registering for the event, you must register a ticket for yourself and each person attending.

· If you or someone in your family are feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms on the day of the event, please stay at home.

· Hand sanitiser will be available at the event. Please make use of the hygiene measures available on arrival at the event and again when departing.

· You will be asked to show your ticket so please bring either a printout or electronic copy.

· If you are no longer able to attend the event, please cancel your tickets so that others can attend.

· This event may be cancelled or postponed in situations of a severe inclement weather event e.g. heavy rain, severe storms, electrical storms or cyclone.

*Photographs will be taken at all DMFS events. Please let our staff know if you do not want your family to be photographed. Photos may be used on our social media channels or in a DMFS publication.
