2026 National History Challenge & Australian History Competition Launch
An opportunity for primary and secondary teachers to learn about the 2026 NHC theme, the AHC and explore a range of classroom resources.
The ACT HTA invites you to the launch of the National History Challenge and Australian History Competition for 2026.
This year we have invited young historians who entered the challenge in 2025 to speak about their work and the NHC. Members of the ACT History Teachers' Association will speak about this competition, as well as the Australian History Competition.
Cultural Institutions will also be present to connect with educators and to share relevant learning material and resources. These include the Australian War Memorial,Department of Veteran Affairs, National Library of Australia, Museum of Australian Democracy and more.
The event is free, due to the generous support of the HTAA and the National Archives of Australia.
