Celebrate the achievements, leadership and lasting impact of women across our region at the 2026 Cairns Regional Council International Women’s Day Awards - a very special edition marking 150 years of the City of Cairns.

Held as part of International Women’s Day, this annual awards ceremony will honour 150 years of women in the Cairns community, recognising the women and girls whose leadership, resilience and contribution have helped shape the city’s past, present and future. From trailblazing pioneers to today’s changemakers, the evening will reflect on the role women have played in building a strong, inclusive and vibrant Cairns.

Partnering with Cairns Central, this year’s event will transform Centre Stage into a glamorous evening celebration. Guests will enjoy a full centre stage takeover featuring a fashion catwalk, gourmet food, beverage package, and an all-female line-up of talented local entertainment artists. The evening promises to be an inspiring and stylish tribute to women across generations.

The awards will recognise outstanding achievements across community service, business, sport, the arts, education and advocacy, bringing together community leaders, nominees, families and supporters for a night of recognition and connection.

Tables seat eight guests, making it the perfect opportunity to gather your girlfriends, colleagues or community group to celebrate together.

Join community leaders, nominees, families and supporters for an inspiring night of recognition, connection and celebration - and be part of a movement that continues to champion equality and empowerment.
