When is the Brisbane Expo being held?

The Expo will be held from 10:00am - 4pm on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th March 2025. It is a free event, open to the public.

Yes! The Brisbane Disability Connection Expo is free for everyone to attend. Even our entertainment is free - enjoy face painting, hair braiding, balloon twisting and a bouncy castle. Our main stage will also be packed with performances across both days of the expo. Register for your ticket here.

How do i get to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre by Vehicle?

The Centre is readily accessible by car and there is ample parking onsite. Parking is managed by the Convention Centre and rates are displayed on signs at the entrance and are available on the BCEC Website.

Where can I park?

You can park underneath the venue in the P1 car park, located on Merivale Street, near the corner Glenelg Street. Parking rates are listed at entry. The height of the car park is 2.3 metres. There is a combination of metered and free streetside parking in surrounding streets.

Is there a quiet / low sensory time?

Yes. Every day the expo begins with quiet time from 10 to 10.45am. It is also typically quieter in the afternoons from 3pm to 4pm. Outside of these times, the expo is bustling with people and fun activity. We encourage visitors to come prepared with headphones.

Is there anywhere I can eat?

Yes there is a kiosk inside the expo hall with a standard range of offerings. There are also eateries located in and around the South Brisbane precinct

Do I have to register for the expo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, everyone must register to attend the expo. We are organising a COVID-safe event and must track registrations for attendance and contact tracing purposes. You’ll be emailed a unique QR code to enter the expo.

Will I get a confirmation email for the expo when I register?

Yes! An E-mail will be sent to your nominated email address with a QR code that will allow us to check you in quicker. A handy tip: if you take a screen shot of the QR code it will help you find the ticket faster

We’ve got a full entertainment line-up for everyone to enjoy! Face painting, hair braiding, balloon twisting and a bouncy castle are just the start! Our main stage will also be packed with performances across both days of the expo.

Can I hire a wheelchair?

Wheelchairs may be borrowed on a first-come, first-served basis, free of charge, for use within the building. The wheelchairs are manually operated and may not be taken outside of the building.
The wheelchairs are located at our Information Desks (Merivale and Grey Street entrances)

Are pets allowed at the event?

No dogs or other animals are allowed within the event (with the exception of registered guide, hearing or assistance dogs).

What if I need First Aid?

If you are injured please see any member of the Expo team wearing a red shirt for help or head directly to the First Aid booth which is located next to the Expo Help booth at the Expo entrance.

Lost Property

Accepted Answer

During our expo days see our Expo Help at booth 1.  After the expo has closed DAC will hand all lost property to BCEC, then all lost property will be located in the BCEC security office.
