Whether your lectures are in-person, online or in a hybrid format, this workshop will give you strategies to get your students interacting.

Ways to make sure lectures are not passive experiences, but opportunities to deepen learning in your students. This workshop will give you extra tools in your toolkit to address these.

There will also be the opportunity to share with fellow teaching colleagues about what has worked for you.

Intended learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:

- Identify practical strategies for engaging students in lectures.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of various engagement techniques in lectures.

- Recognise the importance of actively engaging students.

- Appreciate the role of educational technology in engaging diverse types of students.

This is an introductory workshop, no background knowledge is required.
