The 2019 Chief of Army History Conference will focus on The Australian Army's relationship and connection with the Indo-Pacific region.
About this event
The biennial Chief of Army History Conference looks at how history informs and assists the direction of the Army and the development of its capability.
This year's conference theme is entitled 'An Army of Influence: The Australian Army's Connection with the Region.' Speakers include:
- Professor John Blaxland, ANU
- Captain (Dr) Garth Pratten and Colonel (Dr) David Connery (TBA), Australian Army
- Professor Peter Dean, UWA
- Professor David Horner, ANU
- Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Dayton McCarthy, Australian Army
- Dr Tristan Moss, UNSW (Canberra)
- Colonel Graeme Sligo, Australian Army
- Professor Craig Stockings, AWM
- Speakers from the Papua New Guinea Defence Force and the Army of the Republic of Indonesia (TNI) to be confirmed.
The conference is free to members of the Australian Defence Force and Department of Defence Civilians and invited guests. Members of the public are welcome to purchase tickets to attend.
