2017 Unleashed Awards

FYA is the only national independent non-profit organisation dedicated to all young people in Australia. We believe young people are not a problem to be helped or solved. They are ambitious, creative and capable of rethinking the world and solving tomorrow’s problems today. Delivering a range of initiatives (co)designed with young people, FYA aims to develop the skills, networks and ideas of young Australians so they can create a better future.

The Foundation for Young Australians

<H3>Help us celebrate the initiatives that make a difference to our world and the young people that lead them.</H3>
Each year, the Foundation for Young Australians recognise and celebrate the genuine impact young people have made to the biggest social and economic challenges of our time. The annual Unleashed Awards honour their incredible contribution to our world with a night of music, celebration, and speakers at Australia’s premier social change awards for young people.
When people think of awards, they might imagine a long-winded ceremony — more of an opportunity to snooze in your seat than to get up and party — but here at FYA, we like to shake things up! So, we’ve got a stellar line-up of performances to accompany our announcements and awards.
We’re excited to reveal our keynote speaker for the night will be NASA Astronaut Jessica Meir straight from Houston, Texas. We’ll also have Melbourne’s own soulful Triple J Unearthed star Kaiit, and all-female group YOWO Music to keep you grooving through the night. Pulling it all together, our host and MC will be none other than funny man, Nath Valvo. And that’s just the entertainment! We’ll be announcing all of our award winners throughout the evening, so get ready to cheer and give a round of applause.
We also want to make sure everyone can make it, so head here for <A HREF="https://www.fya.org.au/our-programs/unleashed-awards-event-details/#accessibility" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">accessibility information</A>.
