2017 Forthside Open Day 

The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture is a joint venture between the University of Tasmania and the Tasmanian Government.This partnership has brought together the human and physical resources of the Tasmanian Government with the scientific research and teaching capacity of the University of Tasmania to create a centre of excellence in agricultural research, development, extension, education and training.

<H2>2017 Forthside Vegetable Research Facility Open Day</H2>
Industry and community members are invited to join the The Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA), as we showcase the innovative research being undertaken to enhance the productivity, profitability and sustainability of agriculture in Tasmania.
TIA's Forthside Vegetable Research Facility (Forthside) is the site of leading-edge agricultural research. Some of the research to be showcased at this event includes:

Industrial hemp trials, Dr Mark Boersma

The Open Day will also feature presentations from guest speakers with a focus on precision technology. Our guest speakers are <A HREF="http://remoteaviation.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Kelby Cheyne from Remote Aviation Australia</A> and <A HREF="http://www.datafarming.com.au/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tim Neale from Data Farming (Queensland).</A>
We hope you can join us for what will be a fantastic day with plenty of opportunities for networking and information sharing.
