The Plastic Country - Community Screening
Join us for a free community screening of 'The Plastic Country,' in support of National Recycling Week.
As part of National Recycling Week, join us for a free community screening of the award-winning Australian documentary The Plastic Country.
Former water polo athlete turned ocean advocate Kal Glanznig grew up surfing the beaches of Cronulla and has always felt a deep connection to the ocean. Concerned by emerging research into the human health impacts of plastic, Kal sets out to uncover the true scale of Australia's plastic problem.
Australia is one of the world's largest producers of plastic waste per person, and what starts as a personal investigation becomes a nationwide journey. Travelling from remote coastlines to wildlife hospitals and Parliament House, Kal explores how plastic pollution is affecting our environment, wildlife, politics, and even our own bodies.
Both a warning and a message of hope, The Plastic Country shines a light on the innovative solutions already making a difference and demonstrates how communities and individuals can help create a future with less plastic waste.
Whether you're passionate about sustainability, curious about recycling, or simply looking for an inspiring and thought-provoking film, this screening is not to be missed!
