Question 1

How much Mandarin do I need?

Accepted Answer

If you can read pinyin, you’re ready. Everything you need for the mission is taught on the day, and every card has pinyin.

Question 2

I’ve never learned any Mandarin. Can I still come?

Accepted Answer

This mission works best if you can already read pinyin. If you’re starting from zero, join our Play Pinyin workshop on Saturday 24 October first. It’s the perfect warm-up for this mission.

Question 3

I’ve been learning for a while. Will it be too easy?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. Let your host know when you arrive and they’ll give you extra challenges during the game.

Question 4

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Just yourself. All materials are provided.

Question 5

Will there be photos?

Accepted Answer

We may take photos for Learnése’s social media. We’ll always ask first, and you can say no.
