Understanding Pain: Finding the Right Path Forward
Session exploring pain, rehabilitation and finding the right path forward following spinal cord injury or alongside a neurological condition
Pain can be complex, particularly following a spinal cord injury or when experienced alongside another neurological condition.
Join Spinal Life Australia for an informative session with Eve Halkowska, an APA Titled Pain Physiotherapist and founder of Neurovia Pain & Neurological Rehabilitation.
Eve will explore how pain is produced, why it may persist, and how it can affect movement, daily function and participation in rehabilitation.
The session will also look at how understanding the different contributors to pain can help guide more individualised approaches to treatment and management.
What to expect:
Eve will discuss:
- How pain is produced and why it may persist
- Different contributors to pain
- How pain can affect movement and daily function
- Pain and participation in rehabilitation
- Understanding pain to support more individualised treatment and management
- An opportunity to ask questions
Light refreshments will be served following the presentation. You can also take a tour of the Healthy Living Centre if you haven't visited us before.
