Join well known local artist and experienced teacher Catherine Lawlor for a beautiful exploration of abstract art and mixed media. Each class begins with a short meditation to nurture creativity and cultivate calm, followed by an inspiring and playful exploration of colour, texture and expression.
Across the course you’ll work with watercolour, acrylic, ink, oil pastels, pen and collage, experimenting with different ways to build layers and create expressive abstract works.
Catherine will also introduce key abstract artists throughout history, offering insight into the genre and its evolution.
This is a beautiful supportive, exploratory class suitable for beginners and experienced artists.
Weekly on Tuesday's 1.30pm to 3.30pm for weeks
