Tuesday, Jun 9, 2026 from 8:30 am to 4 pm AEST
Overview

An Introduction to Lean Manufacturing Philosophy and offers solutions to the challenges in change management processes.

Overview

This workshop has been carefully designed in response to industry feedback and aims to provide valuable insights into lean thinking while addressing the challenges of sustainably improving your business’s operational performance.Lean concepts are widely recognised as powerful tools to boost productivity, enhance quality, foster employee engagement, and minimise waste, all while reducing business costs. A key focus of this workshop will be on understanding and addressing the 8 streams of waste that impact operational efficiency:

  1. Defects – Errors that require rework or result in scrap.
  2. Overproduction – Producing more than is needed or earlier than required.
  3. Waiting – Idle time caused by delays or bottlenecks.
  4. Non-utilised talent – Underutilising employees’ skills and capabilities.
  5. Transportation – Unnecessary movement of materials or products.
  6. Inventory – Excess stock that ties up resources and space.
  7. Motion – Inefficient movements by employees or equipment.
  8. Extra processing – Performing more work or adding features than necessary.

This workshop will demonstrate the undeniable value of implementing lean principles to identify and eliminate these waste streams, ensuring your business achieves sustainable improvements and maximises its return on investment.
